Training Designed Around Your Organisation

Safety Assist

Powered by Learning Teams Inc, provides a wide range of educational solutions to help your organisation embed operational learning and improve safety and performance. Our programs connect Human and Organisational Performance principles with the realities of everyday work.

We believe the most effective training reflects your organisational context. By incorporating your processes, operational challenges, and real workplace stories, we reduce the gap between learning and practical application. This approach helps participants retain the material and use it confidently after the program.

Training Designed Around Your Organisation

Every organisation experiences different pressures, systems, risks, and operational conditions. Safety Assist can customise program content to reflect your workforce, industry, and learning priorities.

Our programs combine practical instruction with discussion, workplace examples, exercises, and coaching. Your participants gain tools they can apply to real work rather than concepts that remain inside the training room.

Frontline Leadership with HOP, 4Ds & 4Ls

Frontline leaders influence how work gets planned, discussed, and completed. This practical leadership program helps supervisors, safety champions, health and safety representatives, union delegates, and worker advocates move from compliance and control towards curiosity, learning, and capability.

Grounded in Human and Organisational Performance principles, the program focuses on how work actually happens. Participants learn how to create safe conditions for people to speak openly and identify the system factors that shape performance.

Participants use the 4Ds™, Dumb, Dangerous, Difficult, and Different, to identify operational friction, weak signals, and everyday risks before they contribute to an incident. They also apply the 4Ls™, Like, Lack, Long for, and Learn, to strengthen team conversations and learn from normal work.

The program develops six frontline capabilities:

  • Curiosity
  • Listening
  • Influencing
  • Empathy
  • Communication
  • Advocacy

Participants leave with practical ways to ask better questions, reduce blame, remove barriers, and support teams that can adapt, learn, and solve problems together.

Ideal For
  • Frontline leaders and supervisors
  • Health and safety representatives
  • Safety committee members
  • Health, safety, quality, and environmental advisers
  • Safety champions
  • Union delegates and worker advocates
Program Delivery
  • Duration: Six hours at your site

Safer Machinery Use with HOP

Book A Call

Reduce Machinery Risk. Improve Operations. Create Better Work.

Machinery remains a significant source of serious injury risk across manufacturing, processing, logistics, and production environments. The factors that contribute to machinery incidents can also create operational waste, production disruption, and unnecessary complexity.

Safer Machinery Use with HOP combines recognised machinery safety practices with Human and Organisational Performance principles. The program helps your organisation move beyond minimum compliance and develop safer, more effective systems of work.

Participants examine machinery safety through the reality of everyday operations. They explore how hazardous energy, equipment design, human capability, operational pressure, and organisational systems interact.

The program provides practical methods to identify risk, improve safeguards, strengthen critical controls, and involve workers in meaningful conversations about machinery use.

Using the 4Ds™ framework, your teams can identify operational friction, ineffective controls, procedure gaps, and opportunities to create safer and more efficient work. The program focuses on the conditions that influence performance rather than treating worker behaviour as the only source of risk.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Frontline leaders and supervisors
  • Health and safety representatives
  • Safety committee members
  • Health, safety, quality, and environmental advisers
  • Safety champions

Learn From Work. Learn From Events. Improve How Work Gets Done.

The Learning Teams Fundamentals program provides the knowledge, skills, and practical tools your organisation needs to strengthen operational learning and continuous improvement.

Grounded in Human and Organisational Performance principles, the program helps leaders, safety professionals, operational teams, and worker advocates move beyond blame and investigations that focus only on failure. Participants learn to understand how work is performed and why it succeeds every day.

Learning Teams help your organisation identify the realities of normal work, recognise the system conditions that influence performance, and create meaningful improvements. Operational Learning for Leaders and Human and Organisational Performance (HOP)

Operational Learning for Leaders and Human and Organisational Performance (HOP)

Driving Safety and Operational Improvement
Through Better Understanding of Work

Program Overview (2 Hours)

This interactive session introduces leaders and safety professionals to Human and Organisational Performance and Operational Learning. It provides practical ways to understand how work is performed and how operational insight can improve safety, work design, and performance.

Instead of treating compliance, investigation, or human error as the complete answer, participants examine how people create success by adapting to changing conditions, managing complexity, and balancing competing demands.

Through discussion and practical examples, the session shows how learning from normal work can reveal opportunities to reduce operational friction, strengthen systems, and improve performance.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Understand the foundations of Human and Organisational Performance
  • Recognise how system conditions influence human error
  • Explore common error modes and why decisions can make sense at the time
  • Understand the difference between Work As Imagined and Work As Done
  • Identify gaps between procedures and operational reality
  • Learn how operational learning reveals hidden risks and opportunities
  • Understand how better work design improves safety and operational performance
  • Develop practical ideas for using HOP in their workplace
